How Things are Going 4 Days in

HAPPY SATURDAY!

I’m having an absolute blast writing this blog. The views are going down the more I write though, so maybe I need to reel it in. :S

Anyway, look at how cute my little family is!

I went to rehearsal for the next short film I’m in called “La Casa en la Foto”. I’m excited because this will be my first film project in which I mainly speak Spanish. The cast is only three people so it’ll be an intimate setting.

My character is a home aide caring for an elderly woman. She’s the kind of person who does the bare minimum in terms of her job. She cares for the elderly woman and feeds her, but there is no human connection beyond that. It’s written and directed by a woman! I haven’t worked on too many of those. The script also has some relevant issues. Needless to say I’m excited to be a part of it.

Next, I want to say I’m so proud of Orlando for committing to the workouts everyday! I love that he’s finding the motivation to do it himself, all I’ve been doing is encouraging him at the finish line!

If you want to do the challenge with us, here’s the graphic! You just do 20 reps of each of the moves listed.

Continuing in to what we had to eat today. I’m incredibly proud to say that we’re both making conscious choices of what we’re putting into our bodies!

I was hungry after rehearsal so I had a snack as soon as I came home. This is some organic popcorn that Orlando found for me at Trader Joe’s. Filling and delicious!

Pita pizza for lunch. Pretty good. My favorite part of this was actually the mushrooms which is funny because I used to hate mushrooms!

Mandarin for a snack. One of my favorite fruits. Simple as that.

Orlando cooked dinner for us tonight. He did a good job. This is his take on jambalaya! It’s made with rice, chicken sausage, shrimp, bell peppers, snap peas, and those mushrooms again. I thought it was delicious. I felt satisfied all day with no desire to overeat or over-snack.

Okay, well that’s day 4 of blog entries! Tomorrow I have an audition for a theatre company that does shows for children/young adults. They’re casting a Shakespeare show! Orlando has the day off tomorrow so I’m the evening we’re watching a new broadway show called “Grand Horizons”. I love that we’ll be spending time together because with how busy this month is looking, I’m not sure we’ll have too much time off together. I’ll let you know what we think of the show! I hope it’s better than the show that was previously playing at that theatre. :S
