Day 2? Done!

Hello everyone!

I don’t think I’ve ever had such a busy looking January before. I have a nonstop week headed my way - rehearsals, church duties, auditions, work, classes - I guess it’s time to get back into the groove. I don’t mind it though. I like keeping busy.

All of that will culminate into my grad school auditions. Yes! I’m auditioning for grad school! One final time!

I’m trying not to plan too far ahead like I usually do. I get overzealous and start envisioning what my life will be like when what I’m going for actually happens. So if it doesn’t happen, I fall back to reality, and I fall back hard. That always brings me into a slump that gets harder and harder to get out of! I don’t want to become pessimistic and start assuming the worst. Any idea on how to balance that?

Anyway...

I finished day two of the #2020challenge! I also did an additional arm workout that absolutely killed my arms!

Today’s tonight 2020 challenge consisted of: 20 cobra pushups and 20 roll ups.

Here’s the arm workout in case you want to murder your arms, too:

I am wearing the “Train like a beast. Look like a beauty” tank top from Blogilates and leggings from Forever 21.
I am also reducing my dairy and gluten intake instead of not eating them all together. I’m certain I don’t have any intolerances to either. I will of course, continue to not eat or drink processed food or sugary drinks for the remainder of the reset.

The hardest thing to give up will of course be...

HOT CHEETOS!

Eating healthy meals has never been that much of an issue. Here’s what I ate for dinner!

This is what I made for dinner! Fiesta fish topped salsa, vegan cheese and crushed o’s, and tomatoes and brown rice on the side! I genuinely enjoy cooking and am looking to expand my meatless options!

I’m happy to say that Orlando is joining me on this journey! I could have done this on my own, but it does help to have that support. He’s been down to join me in all my endeavors to only buying crueltpy free products, reducing our usage of single plastics and meatless Mondays.

The reason why I haven’t gone fully vegetarian or vegan at this point is because I haven’t found a sustainable way for me to do so. Most of the recipes I’ve tried have left me unsatisfied texture wise and/or full wise. Meatless Mondays have been a great way to try recipes that have been suggested to us or that we’ve found and want to try.

I’m excited to grow our vegetarian/vegan recipe knowledge and I’m excited that Orlando has decided to join me on this journey as well. This will hopefully yield positive benefits! I will be posting as often as I can and keep you updated! I’ve enjoyed writing it so far!

While drinking water has never been an issue for me, my work water game needs to step up. I rarely drink water at work as I try to reduce my bathroom breaks. I need to at least take my water bottle since some of the audition spaces I go to have no nearby water fountains.

This is my reusable bottle that I got my summer Causebox! My only issue is their is no way to cover the drinking hole in the lid.

Alright. That’s it for now. Send me your favorite vegetarian/vegan recipes!
