March is all about Self Care
Hello everyone!
We have officially reached March! I’m looking forward to the cold weather being replaced by warmer temperatures! This year has been so busy and we’re only three months in! I don’t have any formal fitness plan for this month. I’m giving up chips and Netflix for lent though!
I’m looking forward to slowing things down at some point after the honeymoon. I’ll hopefully be able to make fitness more of a priority again instead of putting it on the back burner. I’m also ready for outdoor seating at restaurants to open again so Voldemort can join us after his vacation! Once the weather starts warming up a bit, I’m also hoping Orlando and I can start our evening walks again. I love doing those!
These past few weeks have been hard. I’m looking forward to my honeymoon so that I can clear my mind and come back with a vengeance. I need these mental breaks as most of us do. This industry brain washes you into being scared of taking breaks for fear that you’ll miss out on a major opportunity!
Speaking of, I have some exciting news to share! Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to announce anything yet, so you have to wait in suspense now!
As soon as I’m given all the all clear, I will for sure let you know.
I’ve been trying to incorporate small self care changes into my routine. I’ve been reading for twenty minutes before bed, I’ve been putting my phone on silent so my sleep doesn’t get interrupted and I’ve also been writing down one thing I’m thankful for as well. I just need to incorporate the other things I have the means to, but just haven’t done so yet.
That should be my goal for March. I have a candle that I can light while I read for relaxation and aromatherapy and I have a jade roller to help wake me up in the morning! For whatever reason, I just forget to light that candle and I put my jade roller in the fridge last night and just forgot to use it this morning.
I need to remember because the three changes I’ve incorporated so far have helped so much!
Try them out yourself!
I also have a bad habit of falling asleep to YouTube videos, but yesterday I discovered a podcast called “Nothing Much Happens” which are bedtime stories for adults! I loved falling asleep to that after doing some reading of my own.
There’s also another podcast I want to try called Slow Radio as that does nature sounds and those always help me when I wake up and cannot go back to sleep for the life of me.
Think about what you’ve accomplished this year so far. I promise it’s more than you realize! This year is just flying by!
I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for everyone. You are worthy. You’re stronger than you think!
Enjoy those rising temperatures and blooming flowers! You’re going to accomplish so much.
Let me know what self care things you enjoy doing that I can incorporate into my routine!
