My Possibilities are Endless
I wanted to share some good news with all of you. One, most people have heard, but the others I haven’t shared yet. So, the news that everyone has heard already: I am now a resident ensemble company member of Rising Sun Performance Company! Rising Sun is an Award Winning Theatre Company dedicated to fostering a nurturing and safe artistic home while creating innovative theatrical experiences in New York City.

I’ve already acted/directed in some short scenes for this company and I’m looking forward to doing more with them!
The acting school I’ve been returning to time and again is the Einhorn School of Performing Arts (ESPA). I love the sense of community I’ve had every single time I’ve taken a class there. Each semester they do something called a Detention series. I will be performing in their upcoming virtual Detention! It’ll be in May, but I haven’t been confirmed for a date yet. As soon as I know, you’ll know.
Tomorrow is my mom’s birthday. Happy birthday, Mami! I applied and auditioned for the MFA Program at California State University - Long Beach. I have advanced to the next step which is the interview! Tomorrow at 11am, I will have my interview with the theatre department via Zoom. So, I’ll make my mom a dessert for after breakfast enjoyment then I’ll run over to the office for my interview.
I don’t know what’s going to happen in the next few months as everything is up in the air. If accepted, I would have to choose between getting an MFA or staying in New York with my new theatre family. Finances might dictate that decision as our lack of employment may mean we have no choice, but to return to El Paso (and by El Paso I mean Albuquerque). For now, I’m thanking the Lord for all these opportunities and the reminder that all my possibilities are endless. Wherever I end up, I can and will accomplish great things. The ability to do that lives within me. “My success it is inevitable.”
