Three Weeks Away from New York...

 Hello everyone!

Orlando and I only get to travel home twice a year. We're definitely on the more blessed side of things since we used to only go home once a year. Other friends don't get to travel home at all. I've been wanting to travel to other places besides home as well especially to celebrate our anniversary, but our family seems to always derail those plans due to welcome but unforeseen circumstances.

This year was definitely one of those instances as I had to travel home for Dahlia's baptism and Orlando's play received a full workshop production at the South Texas New Latinx Play Festival. See, welcome but unforeseen circumstances!

This summer, we were able to spend three weeks (me) and two weeks (Orlando) with family in El Paso/McAllen.

We spent our days helping my mom babysit Dahlia. We went to the local water park. We spent a weekend surrounded by a wonderful theatrical community. We went to the beach. We soaked up every moment with our families as we could.

The past few weeks have been wonderful.

We still have a few more days left in Texas before we head back in which we will celebrate Melody's 3rd birthday and Orlando's 3-'th birthday!

It's been wonderful. 💓

Now we need to mentally prepare ourselves for the hustle and grind of New York again! I'm trying to be more mindful and incorporate more slowness and using this trip to begin incorporating certain changes. I hope I can stick with them when I'm back! Here's hoping Orlando and I can keep the faith!

Love,

Lluvia
